New Updates to Your Rentalutions Landlord Account
So far in 2017, we have shared several updates with you about your Rentalutions landlord account. We told you about our improved Payments Report to help with tax season, our referral program, and enhanced evictions reporting.
Like any great, industry-leading company, we consistently try to reinvent ourselves and our product. To reinvent ourselves, we raised a round of capital and we’re quickly expanding our product development team.
This means that we will be enhancing our existing platform and adding new features faster than ever.
Today I am excited to share with you the latest round of updates to your landlord account. These updates will go live tomorrow, June 22nd.
More Useful Account Dashboard
The main screen you see when you log in to your Rentalutions account is your account dashboard. This is the central place for viewing a quick snapshot of what is going on with your rental units.
To make the account dashboard as useful as possible, we studied how our 37,000+ landlords use Rentalutions to save time. We learned that there are 4 things that landlords want on their account dashboard:
1. Powerful recommendation engine – our engineers integrated artificial intelligence (AI) into your Rentalutions account. You’ll always know where you should be spending time to be an efficient and profitable landlord
2. Low-tech QuickLinks section – our recommendation engine (mentioned above) is sophisticated and uses cutting edge technology. This new QuickLinks section was intentionally designed to be the exact opposite. It’s extremely low-tech. The section is precisely what you think it is – a place where you can find links to the things you need to access quickly
3. Financial summary – the middle section of your Account Dashboard is perhaps the most important for you as a landlord – it summarizes the money! In this section, you’ll be able to view a summary of all financial information for all units across any period of time. You choose the desired date range in the top right corner of this section
4. At-a-glance view of units – the bottom section of your new Dashboard contains all of your units – to start. I say to start because you can easily filter the view to select which units are visible and hidden. You can filter to see only units that are vacant, occupied, or ones with leases expiring soon. You can also search for a specific unit by property address or tenant name. Within this section, you can navigate to a specific unit. We also give you the ability to view units in the pretty card view or in get-down-to-business table view
Improved Account Navigation Panel
Your enhanced Account Dashboard is one fantastic way to quickly get to where you need to go. The other way to get deeper into your account is through the Navigation Panel on the left side of your account.
On most desktop computers this Panel will be visible by default. You can always hide the Panel by clicking the small icon in the upper left of the blue header bar. On mobile devices, the opposite is true – the Navigation Panel is hidden by default, and visible by clicking the icon.
From your Navigation Panel, you can quickly get to where you need to go. You can get back to your Account Dashboard, go to our Landlord Education site, access your Rent Analysis reports, view other reports, view your curated team of local and national partners, publish and edit your marketing website, and navigate between rental units.
Easier Navigation for Account-Level Items
Everything related to you and your Rentalutions account has moved to the top right corner, where you’d expect it to be.
By clicking on your photo in the top right corner of your account, you’ll be able to manage your subscription, edit your account settings, manage your bank accounts, and refer a friend to Rentalutions.
Rental Unit Main Page
After you have navigated to the Main Page for one of your rental units, you’ll see a page that’s designed to bring everything you need for that one unit to your fingertips.
One of the first things that you’ll see is your Unit Timeline. This was designed and built to show you exactly what’s happening with your unit at a point in time and where it is in its current rental cycle.
Our team of skilled software designers and engineers decided that the AI-powered recommendation engine from the dashboard should also exist for each unit. So on each Main Page for your rental units, you’ll see timely recommendations related to that unit.
From the Unit Main Page, you’ll be able to view the payment history for any time period. You’ll also be able to track the status of every rent payment.
Subscription Plan Management
As we’ve been adding more functionality to the Rentalutions platform, more landlords have decided to upgrade to a monthly subscription plan. Don’t worry, we’ll always offer the free plan!
For those of you who have decided to upgrade, first, thank you! Second, we’re delighted to give you a better way to manage your subscription plan.
You can now view upcoming invoices, including the amount, date, and payment method. You can also view all of your historical invoices in one place.
Finally, you can now easily upgrade to a Premium Rentalutions account with just a few clicks.
This update to your Rentalutions landlord account is the most significant one-time update we have ever done. There is a lot of new functionality included in the update.
Our team of engineers also implemented a new framework for how your account functions. You should be excited about this for two reasons. First, the new framework means that your account will perform better on mobile devices. Second, this new framework will allow us to make future changes significantly faster.
